Suspension Magnets – choosing and finding

Permanent Suspension Magnets are an important part of many businesses all around the world. It is also something most people will never have to deal with. It is something people can gather information about and find out everything they need. Sometimes life just offers people a bit of a challenge when their work is concerned. There are some things people should keep in mind when they start their search for these magnets. They are no different than searching for any other thing, and these suggestions can be used later in life as well for any kind of thing that information needs to be gathered about.

Where to start?

Look online. This is exactly as simple as that. The Internet is one of the biggest pools of information that can help people understand the subject better. Ask around. Friends or family, co-workers or sales assistants can be a great source of information. However, if they are not available to help directly, they might be able to point out the best direction in which to look for answers and help out that way. Gathering information also means making dozens of phone calls and writing emails to the companies in question. Some companies might not answer straight away, but most of them will answer questions in about two to five business days or just as soon as possible.

These magnets are used for construction or any other kind of work most people will not come in contact with. Therefore, people might not even see one of these during their lifetime.
The Internet will be able to provide answers for the manufacturers and suppliers of these magnets. The companies will provide email and phone numbers for further inquiries and questions if there is a necessity.

Suspension Magnets and their Applications

Suspension magnets are used for removal of tramp iron from conveyers. The magnets are also for processing applications, quarrying and recycling to make sure the machineries and products and clean. Today, the magnets are made using latest technology to meet the industry standards.

The magnets are designed to extract occasional iron tramp from materials carried by gravity chute, vibratory feeder and conveyer belt at a speed of about 200-300 feet every minute. The magnet is suspended over the material to be conveyed. Ferrous material is held against and extracted from the face of the magnet. The amount of tramp iron goes on increasing before necessary cleaning.

Application of The Magnets:

The magnets are used to remove iron from fertilizers, coal, ores, stones and other materials where iron tramp depositions are common. The standard operating height ranges between 100mm-300mm.

Features of Magnets:
  1. The magnets offer high performance with the help of deep magnetic field.
  2. The magnets are designed keeping in mind requirements of the clients.
  3. These come with robust industrial design.
  4. There is no need of power.
  5. These can be installed easily.

Operation of the Magnets:

The large magnet plate consists of a support frame inside that is suspended over conveyed product stream. To ensure optimal removal of iron tramp, the receiving belt magnet is suspended at a height of 5 inch to 8 inches above product stream. The magnet is located in such a position that it can be easily cleaned. Additionally, it is operated in a belt area where integral parts of the conveyer do not get magnetized like the belting support plates or idler rollers. The reason behind this is, it can cause too much of wear and tear on the conveyer system. The collection pan is turned to clean the magnet. Tramp materials are retained in the pan and removed from magnet. The pan is emptied and re-installed at the back of the far side of the magnet.

So, you need to get in touch with the suppliers for suspension magnets that most of the industries cannot do away with. The reputed suppliers ensure you get complete satisfaction from the products supplies. Reputed suppliers engage into long term relation with the clients by delivering high quality products. The equipments are tailored to suit individual needs of the clients. Renowned suppliers have been catering to the ever growing demands of the sugar, coal, chemical, glass and cement plants.

The Advantages of Magnetic Separator

A Magnetic Separator is a device used in separation of solid-solid metal mixture using magnetic separation method. Magnetic Separators are significant for several industries. They are also known as magnetic pulley and are available in two types - the magnetic roller with electromagnet and permanent magnet. These two typical Magnetic Separators are used for separating materials in a very cost-effective manner. Magnetic Separators work under the magnetic force. The Magnetic Separators are specifically designed for separating different types of materials. All these devices differ in design and capacity.

The two major categories of magnetic separator are used differently for separating metallic impurities from different types of materials. Structurally, the magnetic roller with electromagnet consists of two rows one of which is magnet. A belt is there to carry the iron ores to the magnetic fields and the movement of the belt is controlled by a motor fixed to the end of the roller. The rotational speed of the belt can be controlled as per the speed required for separation of the iron ores.

In contrast to a magnetic roller with electromagnet, permanent magnets are made up of magnetite, that doesn’t require any electric current so as to behave as a magnet. Permanent magnet also generates its own magnetic effect that circulates around the magnet. The magnetic field of a permanent magnet can easily be found by spreading iron ores around it. These magnets quickly submit along the field lines of a magnet.

Magnetic Separator involves processing of magnetic minerals, such as limonite, hematite, wolfram, tantalum niobium and many other minerals. Nowadays, Magnetic Separators are used for purifying quartz, feldspar and nephline. The magnet of a Magnetic Separator is a chained shaped system which is made of copper tubes. There are several Magnetic Separators most common of which is Wet Magnetic Separator. Wet Magnetic Separators have simple structure and good separation capacity. Wet Magnetic Separator is easy to maintain and can be operates very easily too.

There are several other different types of Magnetic Separators that are quite advantageous to separate ferrous materials and pieces of iron from materials. The most commonly used ones are Hump Magnets, Plate Magnets, Suspension Magnets, Magnetic Pulleys, Magnetic Drum Separators and Magnetic Grids. These Magnetic Separators can be availed in varied sizes and designs according to the specific requirements.

The History of Magnets

Magnets are the objects that produce their own magnetic effect and hold or repel other magnet. Magnets naturally have iron’s property as their basic nature. Because of its own magnetic field, a magnet attracts metallic bits and paper clips, iron nails, staples, tacks and other magnetic objects. There are various believes regarding the origin of magnet. However, Greeks are believed to be the first discoverer of this amazing object. Greeks learnt about magnet and its effect from lodestones which is a natural magnetized piece of iron ore. Lodestone is naturally created magnet which attracts iron pieces.

Historians believe that Chinese discovered magnets for the first time and used them for making compass. The compasses were used to find directions. Chinese also used magnets in medicines. They also discovered a typical magnetic therapy known as acupuncture as healing therapy to treat several body ailments. Romans used magnets as a curing device against health issues. During the middle ages, a Roman scientist claimed a magnet’s property, as a device that can cure sadness, baldness and arthritis. Nowadays, owing to its amazing healing properties, Magnets are used to cure many health concerns.

Magnets are still used as a first line treatment for a number of health problems. Magnets are extensively used to heal broken bones, lessen pain, stress, etc.

Apart from being used to heal the physical ailments, magnets are widely used for several industrial purposes. Magnets are the basic industrial material for different industrial applications. They are used as parts in a number of machines and several industrial tools. Magnets are also uses in the production of Electric motors and generators which are a great need of today’s fast moving corporate world. Magnetic Separators, Lifting Magnets, Magnetic Rolls, Magnetic Floor Sweepers, Magnetic Tubes, etc. are some of the Magnetic Equipment, which are commonly used in a number of industries. Besides, there are General Purpose Magnets also, which can be availed in different specifications from the Suspension Magnets Manufacturer in India.

Magnets are classified into different categories by their shapes and sizes. The five typical magnetic types are lodestone, button, ring, horse and bar.

Magnets are also used in electronic devices. They find significant applications as electromagnets in tape recorder, telegraphs, computers, telephones, door bells, cell phones and many other devices. Electromagnets are also used in cranes to hold heavy loads.

Magnetic Sweepers: Making Construction Site Cleanup More Effective an Efficient

As the construction work at a construction site goes on waste materials need to be regularly cleaned up. It is particularly important to keep the construction sites clean as there are dangerous debris and other construction materials which can cause injuries to the workers as well as people passing by. Magnetic Sweepers have emerged as an efficient tool in this context. A magnetic sweeper is a tool mounted on a long handle, much like a push broom.  At the base, magnetic strips pick up any lost nails or other metal debris from the ground.  Some sweeper magnets feature wheels on each side, so that they can be easily rolled over the ground.  Some sweeper magnets may also employ the addition of a rake-like attachment at the base, to pick up any metal pieces that are buried in the grass.  Hand operated sweeper magnets can range in size from as small as 10 or 12 inches wide, to as large as 36 inches wide.

These have made the work of site cleaning much more effective because they can complete the work which takes 2-3 hours in just 20-30 minutes. Moreover, material which is magnetic in nature like iron nails and magnetic debris can be more effectively cleaned using a magnetic sweeper as they may not be visible to naked eye. Responsible firms are increasingly using these Magnetic Sweepers as they reduce the burden and cost of manual labour, as well as fulfill company’s ethical obligation of keeping the site clean.

Magnetic Sweepers are largely used by the roofing companies because roofers use a lot of nails, many of which get dropped into the homeowner's grass which may cause pricks and injuries to the house owners and therefore a thorough cleanup is very important.

Places like scrap metal yards and parking lots use magnetic sweepers which are mounted on large vehicles as the area is relatively large and needs to be cleaned up properly. These sweepers range in size from 48 inches to 72 inches wide, and can be suspended by chains from the front bumper of a vehicle.  Some vehicle mounted sweeper magnets can also be hung from the forks of a skid loader, as well. These help by cleaning large areas in a short period of time. Therefore unlike the earlier days where the cleaning workers had to pick up debris manually from each site before moving on to the next one an efficient solution in the form of magnetic sweepers has arrived. The manual process was time consuming, costly and ineffective which led to wastage of efforts. Therefore many leading construction companies are opting for magnetic sweepers to clean their construction sites.

However, the necessary precaution that needs to be taken while using them is not to move it over the ground too quickly as it will make it ineffective in picking up magnetic debris. Thus, an effective and efficient solution for construction companies and construction site owners is available in the form of magnetic sweepers.
